JORDI: ICONS OF THE WORLD COLLECTION
Michel Jordi pays tribute to some of the world’s most legendary places in a collection limited
to eight models representing eight worldwide landmarks, each produced in a series of three
"uniques pieces".
The highlight of this mechanical masterpiece is its original alarm function based on a
remarkable gong-striking mechanism created in cooperation with Jean-Fraçois Mojon.
Instead of the usual vibrations of the case back, a hammer strikes the gong at a low
frequency of 2Hz, echoing the majestic cadence of a mountain chapel bell.
Meanwhile, the most outstanding visual feature is a day/night indicator at 10 o’clock
revealing the place or monument that gives such an iconic character.

Michel Jordi found inspiration at the source of the River Rhone. There the Rhone
carries with it pebbles that have been smoothed and polished through countless
ages. Fascinated, Michel Jordi created a Watch in their image, featuring a smooth,
ergonomic shape.
